Meditation is one of the best pathways to healing and self improvement. This applies whether you are already in top physical health, or you are feeling down-and-out. Who would have thought that simply by meditating you can heal yourself and change your life.

The medical community today is very effective at addressing the symptoms of various illnesses and diseases. When you go to a doctor, they diagnose the symptoms by asking you to stick out your tongue, looking up your nose and down your throat. Then they prescribe certain drugs to treat that symptom. But what is the cause? That is a good question!



You Can Heal Yourself

For centuries there was a resistance to admit that you can heal yourself. But now, the world has had a shift in consciousness. More and more people are becoming aware that there are specific causes behind specific symptoms. These causes are not only emotional but also mental and spiritual.

Ask an energetic healer what causes illness, and the response will always be the same. Whatever physical ailment or dis-ease you are experiencing, it is the result of a spiritual, mental or emotional pattern that you have set in motion. If left unaddressed, it will eventually lead to the physical manifestation of an illness or dis-ease in your body.

These patterns can be conscious, but, are more often unconscious. Practicing meditation sheds some light onto these unconscious patterns. This allows you to consciously make decisions and take action. In doing so you find yourself on the right track as you step onto pathways to healing.

The benefits of meditation are numerous and impact all the different levels of your being. Physically your body is designed to cope with whatever you can throw at it. Your immune system is the body's own defense mechanism against foreign invaders, which includes various illnesses and diseases. One of the biggest causes of an immune deficiency is stress!


Stress increases your blood pressure, boosts your heart rate, causes your adrenal glands to excrete that addictive chemical sought after by adrenalin junkies. Stress wears your body out because your body constantly thinks it’s in danger. This is commonly referred to as the fight or flight response. As a result it reduces the efficiency of your immune system. If you’re constantly in a state of “fight or flight” there is no guarantee that your body will return to it’s natural state. It is not normal to be relaxed, it is natural to be relaxed! Being relaxed is natural and being stressed is normal. Imagine that, just by being natural, you can heal yourself.

Meditation and various stress relief techniques, like relaxation therapy, calm your emotions, improve your mental wellness and reduce your blood pressure and heart rate. Listening to deeply relaxing music also assists in going through the meditative process of deepening relaxation and improving health. Meditation also relaxes your diaphragm where your beathing becomes slow and deep, allowing you to absorb even more life force. In general, meditation makes your life journey, a far more, well, just a more experience! Ever wonder if you can heal yourself...?
