Place a 'Do Not Disturb' sign on your door (real or imaginary) before starting the guided relaxation or a guided meditation. To obtain and attain all the benefits of meditation and relaxation make sure you are in your meditation room where you will not be disturbed. Here are some simple Meditation Instructions for Relaxation, Meditation and Health…
Do Not Disturb
Most Powerful Meditation in Progress!
Disturbances during your meditation exercises can be anything from another person walking into the room; a pet getting in and looking for attention; television or radio background noise; or an alarm clock or mobile-phone ringing. It is recommended that you have your mobile-phone off and your land-line off the hook. It can be very counter-productive to be pulled out of a deep meditation, especially if you are in a very deep state of relaxation. If you are doing the meditation during the day, draw the curtains to reduce light stimulus.
If you are doing a guided imagery meditation or relaxation at night, keep electric lights off reducing outside stimuli, and use some candles if you prefer some light.
Meditation Techniques for Magnetic Healing
Also ensure that you are using magnetic posture for magnetic energy. This means that if you are sitting down, your back is straight without being tense. The feeling is that your head is casually stretching up towards the ceiling without tension. Also ensure that your hands are not touching and that your feet are not touching.
If you want to cross your legs use the lotus position, otherwise sit in a chair with a good back support. To cross your legs in any other way than the lotus position causes undue stress and tension in the body. Allow your hands without touching each other, to rest gently in your lap. If you are lying down, make sure that once again your feet and hands are not touching. Remember that when lying down it is pretty easy to drift into sleep, so only lie down if you know you are not tired, so you won’t be as tempted to fall asleep.
Relaxation Tips
Do Not Disturb your Inner Peace
In addition to your Do Not Disturb sign the following is very important: When you close your eyes at the beginning of the relaxation meditation breathing process, ensure that you do not snap your eyes shut. Rather bring your attention to your breathing first, whilst gently gazing at an area or space in front of you on the wall or ceiling.
It is important for the shifts in your resonance to not focus on a spot, but to casually gaze! Then allow your breathing to become deep, slow and casual. Over the next 3 to 4 slow, deep breaths, allow your eyes to close slowly and smoothly. Do the best you can to allow this to be a slow continuous motion. It gets easier the more you practice. This will begin a form of alpha relaxation.
Guided Meditation Tips
Do Not Disturb your Alpha Brain Waves
At first you might find that as your eyelids come together there is a slight fluttering as the lids touch. This might continue for a little while but eventually it will subside. This process of slowly closing your eyes, allows you to activate very specific alpha brainwaves patterns. You enter a state where you are incredibly relaxed, and at the same time conscious and alert. Snapping your eyes shut jars your brain wave patterns and makes it difficult to achieve this particular state.
It is important to know that for all different types of meditation you are in the process of learning meditation. It is a meditation ‘how to’ spiritual journey to physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wellness to be disovered. Put up that Do Not Disturb sign - This is your time…
